Student Government Cabinet

President Amy Steves and Vice President
Camie Corrigan. |
The Executive
Branch of Student Government is made up of the President,
Vice President, and the Executive Cabinet.
The President and
Vice President are the chief officers of the Executive
Branch. Elected in the spring, they act as a liaison between
the students, faculty, and administration. The President
executes the constitutional responsibilities and ensures
that any agreements between SG and the University or the
State of Ohio are in good faith.
The President and
Vice President make regular reports to the Student Senate
and give a "State of the Students" report each year. They
serve as student representatives to the Board of Trustees
and appoint students to each of the committees.
Some of SG's
greatest involvement comes through its involvement on these
and other committees. In all, the President appoints more
than 75 students as representatives to some 50 University
standing committees and ad hoc committees.
The President and Vice President are aided
in the performance of their duties by appointing a working
cabinet, which usually includes about 25 members. A typical
cabinet would include concentration on academic affairs,
student affairs, and its eight major constituencies:
external affairs, state matters, internal management,
housing, transportation, safety, athletics, and public and
community relations.
Chiefs of Staff
There are currently three chiefs of staff
within the Student Government Cabinet. Michael Betz and Amy
Kawsky serve as the Internal Chiefs of Staff and Sean
Mitchell serves as the External Chief of Staff.
The Chiefs of Staff oversee the various
committees within the Student Government Cabinet. Below is a
list of the committees of Student Government Cabinet. Please
feel free to contact the Chiefs of Staff below, or check out the
